Rangkuman Simlpe Present Tense
adalah suatu kalimat yang menyatakan keadaan/kegiatan yang biasa terjadi atau merupakan suatu kebiasaan.(habitual action).
RUMUS: Subyek jamak (I,we,you,they,)
(+) S+V1- We go to school everyday.
(-) S+don't+V1- I don't bring a dictionary.
(?) Do+S+V1..?-do you dream of me everynight?
Subyek tunggal (he,she,it)
(+) S+V1 s/es-She goes to school everyday.
(-) S+doesn't+V1-He doesn't do this homework.
(?) Does+S+V1..?-Does Hendy swim?
present tense:
1. It's to describe regular activities
2. It's to perfom the fact
3. It's to show the time/schedule
example:
1. to describe regular activities:
-I go to school everyday
-I take a bath twice a day
-She brushes her teeth three times a day
2. to perfom the fact:
-The sun rises from the east
-Ice is cold
-The earth rotates on its exis
3. to show the time/schedule:
-Tina leaves fpr school at 6:30 every morning.
-He goes to work at 07:00 everyday.
Note:
Ada beberapa aturan dalam present tense untuk subyek tunggal untuk kalimat positif yang perlu di ingat yaitu:
a. apabila kata kerja berakhiran dengan x,ch,ss,sh,o,s maka ditambah es dibelakang kata.

b. apabila kata kerja berakhiran dengan huruf y tetapi sebelum huruf y di dahului oleh huruf konsonan/mati maka y dihilangkan dan berubah menjadi ies.

c. apabila kata kerja berakhiran dengan huruf y tetapi sebelum huruf y didahului oleh huruf hisup/vocal (a,i,u,e,o) maka y tetap dan hanya ditambah s.
